Who was Ghazi Ertugrul ?



  Ertughal Ghazi is the founder of the Ottoman Empire. He was born in 1191 AD and died in 1280 AD. Some books give 1281 AD. He had three sons: Gunduz, Sauchi and Uthman and his third son Uthman died in 1291 AD. 10 years later the Khilafah was formed and the Khilafah was named after the same son of Uthman, the Ottoman Caliphate .

The same empire then defended the Muslim Ummah from 1291 AD to 1924, for 600 years.
